The main character of the plot is the classy prostitute Violetta, which perishes at the end of tuberculosis, without a real happy ending. Violetta meets at a part, the love of her life, Alfredo Germont, who immediately told her at a suitable occasion his love, although Violetta attended the ceremony with her current companion, Baron Douphol.
