The work “Festival Anthem” was created in 2011 in assignment for the Lätzsch Trombone Festival 2011 in Enschede and Holland was a premiered ibid. In the original it is written for forty trombones which distributes in five ensembles that can be distributed in the space of a concert place with Strings, Organ and Timpani. Carlo Balmelli has now set up this piece for concert bands and is suitable for concert openings, church concerts, as an addition, or simply as a musical part of a festive event.
